Hello! I am alive! If you don't know who I am since the time you added me to friends, well.. I'll have you know that I haven't been posting frequently. :)

Yes, this is from a photo. A beautiful stock photo here: [link] from

I like working from photos, I'm sorry! :( I just can't get people to pose for me for four+ hours!! I haven't worked too much on the background, but this is going into my portfolio as is.

I would like to further tighten the background, but, eh, I was told to loosen up, so I'm doing that (an excuse for laziness, yes). I'm happy with this, even if I didn't have to think about the composition or anything because it was already provided to me by such an excellent photographer. :))

Inspiration for title? Not really sure. I noticed the things in the background and thought they were cool.

I don't have many in progress shots, mainly because I don't really work well on layers. At most I typically have three layers - one for lines, one for flood fill (if I choose), one for overall color. Also, I always forget to save in progress crap. T_T But if you're interested:

Great painterly brush technique. I'm always amazed when people can make their work so believable while still leaving the brush strokes so loose and obvious. Excellent.

nice, this is an awesome painting, i love your interpretation of the photo, everything seems to melt into itself and each other making a wonderful blend of colors tones an highlights, nice job :+fav:

unrelated but equaly important: i think if you go to settings there's a button to disable smilies, i'm not sure where at though, poke around, you might find it...

Looks really nice...for a portfolio you say? Could I ask for what? *Just curious since she's making herself crazy with her own* I love the colors and the lighting in this  The clothing looks so nice, especially the pants.

You're so great with Painter -and it's with the oils!-. T__T

I like the strokes of your brushes in the colours, I really love how un-blended oils look like and you used that very well in that picture. I love it <3
